About Lyon & Turnbull
Operating since 1826, Lyon & Turnbull are one of the UK’s premiere fine art and antiques auctioneers. The company’s galleries in London and Glasgow complement the historic Georgian headquarters and main saleroom in Edinburgh. Hosting nearly 35 specialist auctions per year across the UK there is always something to see at Lyon & Turnbull: from jewellery and watches to fine furniture; traditional British and European art to Modern & Contemporary stars; European decorative arts and modern design to fine Asian art from China and Japan.
“We are delighted to be actively involved in the promotion of a new generation of fine Silversmiths, Goldsmiths and Jewellers through the Elements Festival. Having co-sponsored the major exhibition Silver Made in Scotland at the National Museums of Scotland, we see Elements as a further step forward in safeguarding the future of the craft, as well as continuing to raise awareness of the immense level of skill and craftsmanship currently present in Scotland.”
Ruth Davis, Head of Jewellery & Silver at Lyon & Turnbull
The Main Level of Lyon & Turnbull is accessible via the temporary ramp at the front stairs. Lyon & Turnbull is a Grade-A listed building, and the building does not allow for elevators, so the upstairs is not wheelchair accessible. Lyon & Turnbull do not have disabled toilets.
About The Scottish Goldsmiths Trust
The Scottish Goldsmiths Trust was founded by The Incorporation of Goldsmiths of the City of Edinburgh in the year 2000.
The Scottish Goldsmiths Trust has a dynamic programme of opportunities, exhibitions and awards. The SGT curates the Millennium Silver collection, Silver of the Stars and the historical archives of The Incorporation of Goldsmiths. The work of the SGT focuses on promoting and supporting the education, art and craft of Scotland’s gold and silversmithing heritage and trade. In recent years, our work has expanded with the creation of the Ethical Making Programme to support the adoption of responsible and sustainable practices in Jewellery and Silversmithing.
