The intimate nature of jewellery and the connection it has with people is central to Anna Wales’ work. Each piece is designed to be a joy to wear, adding a flash of delight to the everyday.
Inspired by natural forms, she uses multiple handcrafted components to create a singular tactile piece. Smooth sheet metal is transformed into soft organic shapes; layered together to form flowing pieces that sit sensually against the skin, moving with the body.
Combining precious metals, gemstones and the ancient technique of Keum-Boo, Anna creates compositions of colour and texture full of light and shadow, spark and movement.
