Alison Macleod’s designs are inspired by antique treasures and the stories they tell, heirlooms passed through the generations building significance. She loves to incorporate customers own jewels from unworn treasures, giving them a new life and allowing them to be loved again.
Alison builds her signature ‘Catkin’ pattern using hundreds of tiny handmade silver discs layered and soldered in an intricate fish scale pattern. She then forms the resulting sheet into her desired shape. She has molds made of each element and then casts the designs in Fairtrade gold. Alison combines these individual elements to construct unique rings, earrings and necklaces.
