Barbara Spence is a London based jeweller working principally in silver. She uses traditional techniques to create elegant, contemporary pieces with subtle references to mid-century shapes and form. Her influences are varied but geometry, colour and contrast play an important part in her creative process; squares juxtaposed with circles, gold with silver, burnished against matt, harmonising and clashing colours.
In 2020 Barbara launched a new Perspex collection. Conceived to complement her existing work she has reworked her signature pieces in vibrantly coloured acrylics as well as adding new designs. The bold colours add a joyful new dimension to Barbara's work.
