Caiyang Yin’s works feature sculptural aesthetics, in which both traditional and modern techniques are applied to express the maker’s ideas, especially about people's statement of mind in this fast-paced society.
Caiyang regards contemporary jewellery as the physical reflection of people’s emotions and attitudes, believing contemporary jewellery should not be limited by any specific format or material. On the contrary, these factors are supposed to assist the delivery of the artist’s thoughts. Therefore, contemporary jewellery does not have to be aesthetically pleasing in general value as long as it makes enough sense.
