Christopher Perry is a traditionally trained silversmith who has taken on the mantle of artisan through the artistic shapes and forms he elicits from his material. He is inspired by the tactile, by forging lines, angles and textures out of a two-dimensional sheet of metal; by achieving an almost engineered precision from the malleability of silver. Christopher applies skills such as hand chasing, scoring, folding and forging to his designs. Christopher's pieces display geometry and rounded shapes, movement and solidity, depth and texture, drawing the user in and urging them to touch.
