Maike Browning
Maike Browning works intuitively with precious metals, sketching designs and piecing things together at the workbench to see them come to life. Recurring themes within her work are repetition, rhythm and movement.
Maike's collection is made up of tiny pieces of silver, individually saw pierced from textured silver and gold. The elements are connected using small sections of wire, to create pieces which are almost 'stitched' together. This creates finely crafted jewellery with a flowing movement, which beautifully catches the light.
Maike is passionate about the provenance of her materials, working with recycled, fairtrade and single mine origin precious metals.
