Jewellery that embodies the old and new, sustainability and traceability. Sian Evans is a British Goldsmith working in London. Her work over three decades has occupied many niches, from catwalk jewellery to Academia, fine jewellery, collaborations with artists and designers and bespoke work. Her lifelong interests of archaeology, geology, environment, technology and process are present in her work, embodying ancient aesthetics whilst thoroughly contemporary. She uses recycled gold, gemstones and hand carves Scottish Agates and Jaspers into subtle, smooth forms. ‘Sulien’ a new collection of Intaglios and Cameos is a witty, irreverent treatment of this ancient, narrative stone art form.
