In Conversation: Marie Walshe

During the Elements weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting a series of online ‘In Conversation’ sessions with Ebba Goring, Director of The Incorporation of Goldsmiths and a number of this years’ Elements exhibitors, delving into their work and the inspiration behind the pieces they create.

Watch below to view the conversation with Ebba and jeweller Marie Walshe of Sorrel Bay Fine Jewellery.

Marie Walshe, a goldsmith for twenty years, is behind her brand Sorrel Bay Fine Jewellery, named after her beautiful daughter. Her collections are crafted using traditional goldsmithing skills, inspired by ancient cultures and reveling in a ‘man made’ natural finish. Marie’s passion for gemology and the geology behind them, along with her ethical beliefs, mean that sustainability and traceability play a large role in the sourcing of her raw materials. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and precious, small treasures and future heirlooms. The brands’ ethos passionately promotes British-made, hand-crafted conscious luxury.
