Shivani
Shivani designs and constructs bold, architectural pieces of jewellery. Brushed gold surfaces are distorted with soft curves and shallow folds. Stones in unexpected cuts appear to float at tangents fro the metal, while interconnecting gold elements blend one shape into another.
Shivani is passionate about the use of line and form in architecture, finding beauty in the way scale, symmetry and surface align to form perfectly balanced structures.
Constantly absorbing a diverse range of imagery fuels Shivani’s need to experiment, design and develop new pieces. Initial sketches develop into intricately hand carved paper maquettes before taking form in precious metal.
