Filipa Oliveira
Filipa’s work explores the relationship between a 5000-year-old hand-crafted technique, filigree, and a modern emerging technology, 3D printing. Often considered paradoxical and representing two opposing “universes”, Filipa is discovering how successfully and effectively these different techniques complement and enrich each other, while also pushing the boundaries of this craft through contemporising its application and design. Her work keeps artistic heritage alive and encompasses the soul of the past and present within each piece.
