Influenced by an early fascination with the Bauhaus movement, Romany Starrs’ work examines the connection between colour and shape. By using repetitive geometric forms in mixed metals and carefully selected gemstones she explores the idea that certain colours and shapes can communicate a specific idea or emotion to the wearer.
A gap in studies allowed Romany to gain additional skills in modern technologies to allow development of her work. Consciously employing both traditional and modern practices to create collections in recycled gold, sterling silver and colourful gemstones that show her passion for good design and quality craftmanship.
