Colleges Feature: Glasgow Kelvin College

We are thrilled to welcome Scotland’s Art Colleges back to Edinburgh for Elements: Festival of Jewellery, Silver and Gold. Elements will provide graduates of Scotland’s Art Colleges with an opportunity to exhibit and sell pieces of contemporary jewellery and silver to the Element audience.

The Jewellery Department at Glasgow Kelvin College has been delivering a range of courses for over 30 years. We focus on the development of traditional hand skills and were one of the first colleges in Scotland to extend those skills with the use of advanced technologies. The department now utilises a range of advanced digital manufacturing technology in CAD, High Definition 3D Printing and subsequent casting. In addition, the department continues to deliver high quality optical gem-setting techniques. We offer a range of contemporary and industry focused outcomes, allowing our students to become independent jewellers and/or connect with the industry worldwide.
